The mission of the Springfield, MA local chapter of the National Association for Black Vets, Inc is to provide the following services:
                                                         1.) To assist all veterans in the Springfield, Massachusetts area to utilize computer technology to access e-benefits offered by the Veterans Administration.

2.) To provide computer access either in-office by working one-on-one with the veteran or at home with a veteran via outreach.

3.) To provide in-office Text Box: computer training to veterans looking to access the Veterans Administration’s website.
In addition, we provide veterans with referrals for housing needs, food assistance, transportation, employment, education, clothing and filing claims.

Text Box: The Need For NABVETS
Text Box: The National Association For Black Veterans, Inc was form in 1972 As the Vietnam War was winding down, returning black veteran officers, including black officers, were having a hard time getting their medical claims processed. Text Box: Therefore they banded together to form an organization that was dedicated to serving veterans who needed the most help with accessing government assistance with their medical and daily living needs.
